Recently, Wenhua Energy has entered into a strategic cooperation with CloudMatrix, a leading Southeast Asian data center operator. The first batch of 20 sets of 192V/9.6KWh high-voltage energy storage cabinets has been officially deployed in core data centers in Singapore and Malaysia, serving as UPS backup power sources to ensure the uninterrupted operation of critical IT infrastructure during power outages. This marks the first large-scale entry of Wenhua Energy's high-voltage energy storage products into the Southeast Asian data center market. With a cycle life of ≥6000 times and an IP54 protection rating, the products build a zero-downtime energy guarantee system for Southeast Asian data centers.
The deployed energy storage cabinets adopt Wenhua Energy's independently developed 192V high-voltage design. Compared with traditional lead-acid UPS systems, they reduce current by 60% and line losses by 40%. Meanwhile, the modular parallel expansion design allows flexible capacity scaling up to the megawatt level according to the load demands of data centers. Equipped with a multi-layer BMS protection system, the products feature overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short-circuit and temperature protection functions. The active cell balancing technology maintains cell health, ensuring stable operation in the tropical environment of 35℃-40℃ in Southeast Asian data centers. After the project launch, the total cost of ownership (TCO) of CloudMatrix's backup power system has been reduced by 50%, and the maintenance frequency has been cut from once a month to 1-2 times a year, completely eliminating the frequent replacement and high operation & maintenance costs of traditional lead-acid batteries.
The Southeast Asian data center market is experiencing explosive growth. Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and other countries plan to add more than 500MW of data center installed capacity by 2030, leading to a surging demand for high-reliability, long-life backup power sources. Relying on the environmental advantages of the LiFePO4 chemistry system, a cycle life of ≥6000 times and full-life-cycle service capabilities, Wenhua Energy has become the core partner of CloudMatrix. The project not only meets the stringent requirements of data centers for UPS backup power, but also shortens the deployment time by 70% through modular design and pre-configured installation, providing a replicable benchmark solution for the energy transformation of Southeast Asian data centers.
The person in charge of Wenhua Energy's Southeast Asia region stated that the data center project is an important breakthrough for the company's high-voltage energy storage products in the Southeast Asian market. In the future, the company will continue to optimize the adaptability of high-voltage energy storage cabinets in combination with the needs of data centers, communication base stations and other scenarios in Southeast Asia, and expand into markets such as Indonesia and the Philippines to provide more stable and efficient energy guarantees for critical infrastructure in Southeast Asia.
